Sightseeing of Oahu Island

  Traveling a lot, we think, "Well, I've seen so much in the world that it will be hard to impress and please me." And with a tired smile we started watching the local sights... This island was reveled in the greens. It was first impression. Then we were shocked by sightseeing of the paradise. There are some but far from all.
• Iolani Palace is the residence of the Hawaiian kings. This is the only royal palace in the United States. It provides a large collection of inlaid furniture. We were surprised at the abundant of it. It was miraculous!
• Pearl Harbor and Arizona Memorial. Pearl Harbor is a military naval base here was destroyed by Japanese aircraft on 1941, Oct. 7. After that the Second World War broke out. The Ship Arizona, which was carrying more than 3000 people, was send to the bottom and it has still been lying there. Nowadays, there is a memorial to Arizona. It represents a concrete structure with a transparent bottom. People can look at the sunken ship through the water column. Isn’t it miraculous?
• Polynesian Cultural Center. This is the perfect place to relax, because you can learn the culture and traditions of not only the Hawaiian Islands but investigate the other parts of Polynesia, that it, Tahiti, Samoa, the Kingdom of Tonga in New Zealand and so on. For each region they have their own pavilion. Paradise is everywhere, it has surrounded us! There are various exciting shows with songs and dances in traditional style. It is very interesting. We have also participated in the show, by the way. It was amazing! We were presented with miraculous necklaces and souvenirs after the dances, in which we were taking an active part.
• Aquarium Waikiki. It is located on the ocean. It is a challenge for everyone, I should say. Paradise in the ocean! We could see the most famous, worldwide collection of tropical fish. There are more than 2,500 marine creatures. You can see a great variety of exhibitions, programs and research of tropical Pacific Ocean. You will be surprised when you see a real coral reef! It is really a miraculous view!
We enjoyed every day of our staying on Oahu Island, bathing in the sun’s ryes, listening to waves and watching its beauty. We have visited a paradise.
